Mycotoxins are toxic secondary metabolites produced by fungal species that usually contaminate foods and feeds. Their lipophilic properties allow them to persist in the fat tissues of animals ingest them, representing a risk for consumers because their toxicity carcinogenicity. Apart from humans, there more susceptible mycotoxin actions, such as avian ones. This report describes case laying hen farm certified antibiotic-free, where were fed with foodstuff linseed added obtain eggs enriched omega-3 acids. In this case, concurrent action aflatoxin B1 ochratoxin A caused significant decrease production an increase mortality.
